Ovindi is a PhD candidate at Western Sydney University, pursuing her doctoral studies with a focus on generating privacy-preserving synthetic healthcare records for causal analysis. Her primary research interests include causal inference, generative models, privacy-preserving data generation, healthcare data analytics, and artificial intelligence. She is deeply passionate about advancing the development of innovative frameworks that address the challenges of balancing privacy and utility in synthetic healthcare data.

Ovindi holds a Master’s degree in Business Analytics from the University of Colombo and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. She has a strong foundation in data science and has actively contributed to research by engaging in the development of cutting-edge methodologies for data generation and analysis. Her diverse academic and professional background equips her with exceptional problem-solving skills and a multidisciplinary perspective on addressing real-world challenges.
