Heidi Bjering is a lecturer in School of Computer, Data, and Mathematical Sciences at Western Sydney University (WSU), where she is part of the team developing and delivering the health informatics program. She is currently the Vice Chair of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health’s NSW’s executive committee. Heidi’s interest in health informatics developed during her research Masters degree which dealt with temporal aspects of health data. She has also been involved with terminology and data representation issues in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In her PhD research she is investigating how IT can be used to support good health in the elderly.
